Sydney Vivid Moonlight Kayaking Experience

As the sun sets over Sydney and we cast off in our kayaks, watch the city come to life and illuminate around you from your floating vantage point.

Our leisurely paddle loop starts and finishes at the Australian National Maritime Museum,. We get to safely explore the illuminated waters of Darling Harbour, taking in the magnificent light-shows of VIVID 2024

 

Harbour Life is a 7-minute animation and sound design projection mapped onto the museum rooftop and the HMAS Vampire, Australia's largest museum object.    

Harbour Life is a unique collaboration between the Australian National Maritime Museum, award-winning Sydney-based creative projects company Artists in Motion as part of Vivid Sydney.

 

We will also get to paddle to the Pyrmont Bridge to get a wonderful view of ELEMENTAL, a breathtaking show that celebrates the elements - fire, air, water and earth - combining spectacular 80 metre water shooters, flames, projection and pyro technics.

These guided kayaking tours provide a rare opportunity to paddle through Darling Harbour on a moonlit adventure that allows you to experience Sydney’s VIVID Festival from a unique and crowd-free perspective.

The sea kayaks that we will be paddling in are a Mirage Sea Kayaks Touring double - they are very stable and have a wonderful glide.

Please note:

This tour is NOT suitable for complete beginner paddlers, paddling experience is recommended. Sydney Harbour Kayaks offer FREE Beginner Lessons every Saturday and Sunday at our Spit Bridge location. maybe get a kayaking lesson and get prepared for this wonderful experience.

Everyone will be grouped into double (2 person) kayaks. If there is an odd numbered tour, then the lead guide will determine the person that will paddle in the single kayak (generally the strongest paddler of the entire group).
