Sydney Harbour Kayaks has been introducing people to the magic of Sydney's waterways since 1991.

What began as a small family-operated kayaking business at The Spit, Mosman, has grown into one of Australia's most respected paddlesports and adventure tourism operators. Today, Sydney Harbour Kayaks is proud to be recognised as a member of the NSW Tourism Hall of Fame, acknowledging more than three decades of commitment to outstanding visitor experiences, safety and customer service.

Despite our growth and success, we remain a family-owned and operated business led by Shannon and Kate O'Brien, who continue to share a passion for kayaking, outdoor adventure and helping people discover the beauty of Sydney Harbour from the water.

Sydney Harbour Kayaks operates one of Australia's largest fleets of premium sea kayaks, surfskis and paddling equipment.

Many of our kayaks are proudly supplied by Mirage Sea Kayaks, Australia's leading composite sea kayak manufacturer. Designed and built in Australia, Mirage kayaks are renowned for their performance, comfort and reliability in some of the world's most demanding paddling environments.

Our fleet is carefully selected to cater for everyone from complete beginners through to experienced expedition paddlers.

Our home is Middle Harbour at The Spit Bridge, Mosman—one of the most beautiful and sheltered paddling environments in Australia.

Within minutes of launching, paddlers can explore secluded beaches, sandstone cliffs, pristine bushland, hidden mangrove creeks and spectacular harbour scenery that feels a world away from the city.

It is the perfect environment for learning, exploring and enjoying the unique natural beauty of Sydney Harbour.

Our passion for paddling extends well beyond Sydney.

Through our associated business, Murray River Adventures, we also introduce visitors to the remarkable waterways of regional Australia, including the internationally significant Gunbower Creek and Gunbower Forest wetlands in northern Victoria.
