Sydney Harbour Kayaks Wins Gold
At last night’s NSW Tourism Awards Sydney Harbour Kayaks took home Gold for Tourism Retail & Hire Services. The NSW Tourism Awards celebrate business excellence, acknowledge business innovation and reward exceptional customer service.
On receiving the award at the ceremony, which was held virtually this year, Sydney Harbour Kayaks Managing Director, Shannon O’Brien, said,
“We are surprised and delighted to receive this award. It’s a very exciting time for our business, and this award is the icing on the cake right now.”
Sydney Harbour Kayaks at The Spit Bridge in Mosman, is Sydney’s largest and most comprehensive kayaking operation, offering kayak rental, lessons, tours and specialist retail shop.
The business is currently expanding to incorporate kayak operation at Milson Island in the Hawkesbury River and kayaks tours from The Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour.
“After many years in the business of kayaking our formula of high-end craft together with skilled staff has placed us in the position where we can expand our operations to provide a range of kayaks services of the highest quality in other locations,” says Mr O’Brien.
At Milson Island Sydney Harbour Kayaks will be launching their exclusive Paddle Polo on-water kayak game in February to school kids attending sport & recreation camps, soon to be followed with kayak clinics, one or two night kayak adventure tours and corporate events.
The Maritime Museum operation will cater to tourists and corporates with high-end kayaks tours and team-building activities, following on from Sydney Harbour Kayak’s highly successful Sydney Solstice night-time kayaking event which took place on Darling Harbour in June 2021 as part of the Sydney Solstice Festival.
After winning Gold in their category, Sydney Harbour Kayaks will now represent NSW at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards to be held on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast on 18 March, 2022.
